This includes:
Many women arrive unsure how to describe their symptoms or what they need. Through targeted, clinically informed questioning, the patterns become clear quickly.
You begin to understand not only what is happening but why.

You receive clear, evidence‑based education that explains how hormonal changes interact with stress, sleep, identity, and the invisible load of midlife.

You’re guided through strategies that many women find helpful across all three domains. These may include lifestyle approaches, nutrition considerations, sleep and stress‑modulation strategies, and information about hormonal and non‑hormonal treatment options that healthcare professionals may discuss with you.
*If You’re Already Using MHT*
It’s common to be on one or more forms of Menopausal Hormone Therapy and still not feel the improvement you expected. This doesn’t mean you’re out of options. Together, we examine what’s happening across the biological, psychological, and social domains and identify what may be useful to raise with your GP or specialist.

At 44, the weight crept on without any major lifestyle changes.
At 47, I looked in the mirror and barely recognised myself. My face looked puffier, my body felt heavy, my bones ached, anxiety whispered (then shouted), and my husband’s chewing felt unbearable. My diet, exercise, and lifestyle hadn’t changed but I had.
What changed were my hormones, specifically estradiol, progestogen, and testosterone.
We call them “sex hormones,” but that label is wildly outdated. These are quality of life hormones, and their decline affects everything: our mood, metabolism, sleep, confidence, cognitive sharpness, motivation, relationships, energy, heart, and bone health.
The truth? Over 25% of women need one or all of these quality of life hormones replaced to function fully once their own production slows down or stops. Yet too many of us are left in the dark about what’s really happening inside our bodies.
Perimenopause isn’t a phase. It’s the start of estradiol decline, often followed by changes in progestogen and testosterone and it impacts how we look, feel, think, and age.
Women come to me when they’re overwhelmed, exhausted, and quietly asking, “Is this really me now?” Because I’ve been there too.
For nearly a decade, I lived through the chaos of perimenopause, heavy bleeding, adenomyosis, iron deficiency, the fallout from faulty Essure coils, and finally, surgically induced menopause. I spent thousands chasing answers that never came: endless appointments, labs, supplements, and “miracle fixes” that didn’t fix a thing.
The anxiety, rage, and despair cost me my confidence, calm, and joy. Like so many women, I was told to “just get on with it.” But ignoring it didn’t heal me........knowledge, connection, and evidence-based care did.
Fast forward to 50.
With lifestyle medicine, personalised HRT/MHT, tailored with the right balance of estradiol, progestogen, and testosterone, I rebuilt my health and my life. My strength returned. My mood steadied. My energy surged. My skin glowed. My clarity came back. And the spark that had quietly faded? Reignited.
I have more energy now than I did before having kids and a deep knowing that this is what midlife can feel like when women get the right support.
No woman wants to feel old before her time.
So why are women aging faster than men? Because our biology demands these quality-of-life hormones for healthy aging, stable mood, heart protection, brain sharpness, muscle integrity, and everyday vitality.
In my mid-40s, nobody told me that. Nobody explained what was really happening.
Now I know and I’m here to make sure you do too.
As the founder of Your Menopause Doula, I help women cut through the noise, understand their hormones, and reclaim their confidence through science-backed, compassionate care. I combine professional training with personal experience and collaborate with leading experts from The Menopause School, Harvard Medical School, the International Menopause Society, the Australian Menopause Society, and other world leaders shaping women’s midlife health.
